BIS has established a partnership with St Joseph High School from the United States and will offer not only the IB Diploma but also the AP courses for high school students. This will offer more choices for our students. More than half of St Joe's graduates are accepted by top 100 universities in the U.S. BIS's American curriculum will refer to theirs, and our qualified graduates will receive the American high school diploma.

Except for Chinese courses, all other subjects are taught by foreign teachers. There are more than 40 foreign teachers in the school and all of them have international teacher qualifications, an average of more than 10 years teaching experience, more than 5 years of IB teaching experience, and more than 1/4 of the teachers have a master's degree or above.

在Rob Stewart 加入波士顿国际学校(简称BIS)担任执行校长之前,他曾在位于中国北京的青苗国际教育集团任首席执行官、伊顿教育集团(新加坡)任教育执行总监及伊顿教育集团中国区的总校长。在来中国之前,他在西澳大利亚教育部任职长达25年。 在Rob超过26年的管理岗位工作经验中,其中有21年是在澳大利亚和世界各国的多所学校担任学校校长。Rob 带来了丰富的与校长及老师共事的经验,帮助他们成长为高效率称职的教育工作者,使他们能设计和传授高质量的教学课程。

Prior to joining Boston International School (BIS) as the Executive Principal, Rob Stewart was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Beanstalk International Education Group (BIEG) based in Beijing, China. Rob also served as Executive Director of Educational Services for the EtonHouse International Schools Education Group(Singapore) and the Executive Principal for EtonHouse China. Prior to his time in China, Rob served 25 years with the Western Australian Department of Education. Rob has over 26 years of experience in leadership positions with over 21 years as the Head of School for several schools in Australia and Internationally. Rob brings a wealth of experience working with Principals and teachers and developing them into effective and competent educators who design and deliver teaching and learning programs of the highest quality.
Rob has a collaborative and transformational leadership style that will ensure BIS has a clear vision and direction, a strong belief that every child can succeed and deserves every opportunity to contribute and participate in a globally minded society. His vision for BIS is to grow the school into the strongest, most nurturing and successful school where students feel safe, happy and yearn to learn and succeed, where teachers care for their students and strive to develop their repertoire of teaching practices and parents are proud to say their child attends BIS and they are empowered to be part of the team that guides their child to fulfil their greatest ambitions.

Dr. Bruce Gilbert is our Academic Principal. He holds the Bachelor degree of Education (Teaching), Master degree of Education (Special Education) and Master degree of Art (Educational Administration). He also got the Doctor degree of Education (Educational Psychology) from Boston University.
More than 40 Years of experience in the field of education have made him an excellent performance in management and leadership. The experience of being the educational advisor, director of school and the Principal in different countries made him have unique opinion on cross-culture management of teacher groups and students. He coached teachers to improve effectiveness, he developed and implemented school’s polices and operation procedures, he gave his suggestions on academic matters in order to promote school’s development.

Ann Wagner comes from Los Angeles. Because of the exploration on different culture from different countries and the devotion of international education, she devoted herself to education after getting Bachelor degree of Interior Design from Harrington College of Design. During her work in Pacific Hills School which is located in the heart of Los Angeles for nearly 17 years, she also got the Master degree in Educational leadership. She is now pursuing the Education PHD at University of New England.
Now, Pacific Hills School has become a multicultural and homelike school with the students hailing from eleven countries across six continents. Her excellent management and leadership made the students recruited by Universities across the United States and the world. She believes that she can apply her passion, her varied skill set, and her hands-on abundant energy to meet the needs of students.

她的丰富教学及教学管理经验将奠定IB 课程在我校幼儿部顺利实施的坚实基础。
Dr. Teresa Sadurni is our EY coordinator, she comes from United States and holds a PhD in Philology (cum laude) degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an English as a Second Language Teacher Certificate. In the past 27 years, she has worked in USA, Mexico and Spain and China as EY homeroom teacher, EY Coordinator, Head of Preschool, Preschool Principal and Elementary Principal. Her rich teaching and school management experience will become a solid foundation for our IB programe implementation EY department.

Neil has close to 20 years of experience in education, both in Canada and overseas. His previous postings include schools in Macau, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and most recently in Cambodia. He has over 10 years of experience working with the PYP as a homeroom teacher, specialist and coordinator.
Neil believes in a holistic approach to education. He has been involved with intramural and competitive sports programs at all age levels. Most notably, school programs he started at the fledgling International School of Macau 15 years ago are thriving today.
Neil embraces the concept of lifelong learning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Graduate Diploma in Education, an ESL specialist designation and a Professional Master’s degree in Education specializing in Program Evaluation and Assessment. Throughout his career, Neil has supported teacher education by designing and delivering training opportunities for staff, especially in English language teaching. He has also run programs targeting the English language development of school support staff.

Robert Young is responsible for coordinating the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, bringing with him 15 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, assistant principal, and school principal. He is joined by his wife, Katie and their three daughters Lily, Iris, and Violet. They come to us from Vail, Colorado, USA. They are excited to experience the wonders of living in Wuxi, China.
His educational philosophy has been shaped through work experiences in both Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound and International Baccalaureate Program Schools. His natural style of leadership is teamwork oriented. He is a dynamic leader who can transition between directive, participative, and teamwork oriented styles. He values a work environment where democratic ideals are upheld and where participatory governance is honored. His ideal work environment is one in which all stakeholders work together to create a school culture of collaboration, respect, and high expectations for all students.
He earned his Master of Educational Leadership degree from Colorado State University, a Master of Arts degree in English as a Second Language from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin.

Sydney has fourteen years in education and she has worked in the United States (Texas) as a primary education teacher. She also has experience working in administration as an assistant principal and program coordinator. Her qualifications include a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s in education administration.
Sydney has for the past five years worked abroad in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait building a strong foundation at both schools with a quality education using an American curriculum. She is currently working as the MYP coordinator as well as M1/M2 teacher. She has IB experience and has worked as both a PYP and MYP teacher.
Sydney’s educational experiences have been both project-based and inquired-based approaches to learning. She believes in taking time to invest and explore interests, be observant about the world, ask questions, be a global contributor and a life-long learner.
She is proactive ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, strong leadership, accountability, and support that are conducive to learning.

Matthew is from Nottinghamshire (the land of Robin Hood) in the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honours) in Chemistry, from the University of Sheffield, UK. Deciding to embark on a career as a Secondary School Science teacher, Matthew earned a Post Graduate Certificate (with Qualified Teacher Status), from the University of Sheffield, in 2001. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Matthew has been a teacher for 17 years. He has worked in two state Secondary Schools in the UK and International Schools in Dubai (UAE), Hanoi (Vietnam) and now in Wuxi. During his professional teaching career, Matthew has been a Science teacher, Head of 2 large Science Departments and a UK government recognised Learning Coach (helping to professionally develop newly qualified teachers to meet national standards and practices). He has vast experience in teaching middle school Science, (I)GCSE Sciences, A-levels and IB Diploma Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) as well as Theory of Knowledge. In addition to teaching MYP Science and IB Diploma Chemistry and Biology, Matthew is currently the IB Diploma Coordinator at Boston International School. Matthew is student-centered and enthusiastic in his approach to teaching and learning and is a strong advocate for holistic student development.
Matthew has a wife (who is from China) and a daughter, who is very happy and enjoys attending Boston International School.

●环境安全:校园主体于2017年8月顺利完工,家具器材在2017年10月全部投放到位,2018年8月学校正式开学。从完工到投入使用长达一年时间,期间,学校进行了空气质量检测和环境治理。另外还有完善的安保措施,校园人车分流系统,室内空气净化系统,成熟的应急消防逃生预案等。
Environmentally Safe: The main structure of the campus was successfully completed in August 2017. Furniture and equipment are put in place by October 2017, while the school will officially start in August 2018. From completion to operation, there is a one-year gap. BIS has conducted air quality testing and environmental management during this period. In addition, BIS has completed making comprehensive security measures, separate roads for vehicles and people, indoor air purification system, and mature Evacuation plan for emergency fire.
